It Is Just What You See

Hello,

I just came out of an lecture in Media in Society, we mostly talked about the representation of race and minorities in movies. We discussed how different people are stereo typed in movies, mostly minorities since they are more abused with stereotyping. We went through a lot of people in class to see if they ever had been part of a stereotype displayed in media, and it showed that almost everyone has been stereotyped in some way. Tourette syndrome to be swearing all the time, all hispanics to be mexican, russians to only be mob embers, black to be poor, and the list goes on and on. However, I could only think about one thing during the whole discussion.

Why do you care what other people think about you and how they display your :race, gender, handicap, color, hair, sexuality, clothing, society? What it all comes down to is what you see when you look yourself in the mirror, do not let other people tell you who you are, just follow your guts and be who you are! At then end that is what counts.

  1. I agree people put too much time to think and talk about other how they are what they do and soo on.
Instead they should be themselves and be as friendly and lovely and don´t talk and think negative about others. We have too much negative in the world and people who think they are more worth then others

    keep up son love mom
