Another Day Tomorrow

Hello all you people in the world, I hope everyone has celebrated that it is weekend properly. For most the upcoming days will be filled with rest and joy, and for others maybe head aches and days spent in bed. My upcoming days will be filed wit shocker and traveling back to Thunder Bay, I am really not well at coping to traveling during the night. I am not a good bus/airplane sleeper, and therefore I am tired as shit for the upcoming days. I wish we just would travel during normal hours of the day instead of trying to get real sleep in the bus to the airplane. But it is what it is, and there is nothing I can do to change it.

We played a gam tonight, I just have to mention their arena. It was incredible, a view straight over the Rocky mountains. Beautiful beyond measure, on the sad part if life we lost the game 2-1. I can honestly say that I probably played my worst game ever, I cannot explain it and I do not want to blame our travel arrangements but I could not feel my legs. As well as my head felt like it was somewhere else, I am just glad that I will get a new opportunity to play the same team tomorrow. I am assuming that I will not be starting, but I hope I will get the chance to come in during the second half.

On The Road, What Is Up Denver!

Hello world, I first would like to say congratulations for making it through the week. It is not always simple to do that, especially not if you have a very demanding job. Luckily enough for me this week was very easy, because we got flooded and the city went into disaster mode all our coaching got cancelled, except for yesterday. Not to bad to only have to work once a week though. It was pretty necessary since our traveling this weekend is on a very hard schedule. We started off last night at eleven with a bus ride to Minneapolis, so we had to try and sleep on the bus. We arrived at the airport in Minneapolis at 4.30 A.M, got on a plane at 6 and landed in Denver around nine. It would not be the a arrangement if we did not have a game tonight, all players are very tired right now and most are taking a little nap before the game. I know I will as soon as I get done with this. However, tired does not mean that we will not win the game. I am sure that we will do everything in our power to come out wit ha result as long as we cab beat the altitude difference. I have a feeling that I will be extremely tired after tonights game.

Hello world I have just started doing some interviews with players on the team. Not only is it fun because they are all interesting, but it also gives me a chance to learn more about final cut pro. A editing program that is a bit confusing at first but soon I will master it.

Another Way To Wake Up

Hello world, I assume that you all are going back to work after a relaxing weekend. Here in Thunder Bay that is not the case, we have had Thunderstorms for the last 24 hours. With the thunder storm came the rain, and not a little of it we actually are flooded. All the soccer fields are closed, and a lot of roads are destroyed. Luckily enough our apartment is a the top of a hill. No damaged done do us, but the city is a little bit shocked right now I can assume. Oh wait one of our players car got stuck in the water last night, like they drove and the car just stopped and started to take in water. They abounded the car and I believe it might be in the shop now getting cleared from all the water.

However, no practice today or tomorrow I believe, at least there is no caching which is more welcomed than no practicing.

Since it was mothers day yesterday day I just want to give a shout out to my mom Loppan, she is always there for me even when I do not deserve it. She is a unbelievable strong and determined woman and i am proud to call her my mom.

Bye, Bye, Weekend

Hello people of the world, I hope the weekend was to your pleasure.

Here in Canada it is still raining, but luckily enough the weather does not reflect life itself. We are sell undefeated in the league after a 1-0 victory yesterday. I watched the game from the stands, Coach decided to put me there. I did not receive a explanation why, but I hope that I will receive a new chance to play next weekend, as we travel to Colorado to face their team.

The team celebrated after the game, and we had a lot of fun. I feel like we really are starting to come together as a team now when we get to now each other more and more. Many of our players are really interesting characters, and I hope that I will be able to get a few interviews with them.

We got some luck in our room now as well, our new room mate Patterson’s parents are extremely generous and they are bringing a lot of food to out apartment. Which means that we can save some money on food now, it is so expensive to be honest. Food price is something you never really think about until you actually move away from home.

I tried something new today as well, Tim Hortons donuts, and still I have to say that I am no a fan of donuts.

The First Game Weekend

Hello world, I hope life is treating you all well. Summer is coming, not so much here in Thunder Bay though. We had rain for about 5 days here, and now our field is water damaged. It does not matter to me to much, now we are playing on turf which is better for our team because of the way we play. Happy news in soccer life, we played our first game yesterday and won 5-0. We played great in the first half and it could just as well have been 8-0, I managed to get one goal in. We are playing on the same field against the same team tonight, and hopefully we will get the same result.

Also my online philosophy class has started, a lot more work than an online class should have. We have a quiz and an essay every week, the hard part is that we only have an hour to complete the essay. The class is only about moral questions, therefore, everything is without a set answer. All we do is reading arguments, and work out arguments that we come up with ourselves. It is actually very interesting, hopefully I will receive a good grade as well.

Good evening everyone, I hope you are all having a good weekend. I do not really know where to start, there is kind of a lot that has happened the last 24 hours here in Thunder Bay.

First and foremost we had our press conference yesterday, which turned out to be a piece of cake. Not a big deal at all for most of out players, there was about 20 people there and they filmed the whole thing. However, for us players it was just to get announced as a part of the team and smile for a couple of pictures. There was even food there, which all of us enjoyed very much. The whole event was on TV here in Thunder Bay and the local news paper covered it as well.

Later that night I watched the movie Drive with Ryan Gosling, if you have not seen it you need to see it. It is that good, kind of strange and surprising but just amazing. See it!

For those who does not follow soccer, today was the day the greatest team in the world this year would be determined. The game between Bayern Munich and Chelsea, it was such a spectacular game. I still cannot believe the result after what I saw. Going into the game I was cheering for Bayern, and everything was going well, Bayern out played Chelsea and even got 1-0 in the 83 minute. However, Chelsea showed strong character and got back into the game. I really thought Bayern were going to win it when they got a penalty in over time, but to my surprise my favorite player Arjen Robben Missed it. It went to penalties and Chelsea won. Congratulations to them, however I believe that it will have a sad effect on Tottenham who now will not play in the Champions League next year, and therefore probably will lose their two key players Modric and Bale. Disappointment!!!

However, on the complete different level of soccer here in Thunder Bay we also played a game today. Just a exhibition game os nothing to fancy. We won with, 3-1, did not play to well but it was a solid result. I feel like we will have a really good team as soon as we get used to playing with each other. I was happy to see my team mate from school Paul Dillon score our second goal. My own performance was nothing special, I got a charlie horse (knee on my quad) after 5 minutes, and after that I could not really run. Made my day a little bit harder, but still a solid performance. I hope I will perform better tomorrow, we are playing the same team and if my quad feels better I am sure I will get a point in the game.

Now it is time for some solid sleep!

Press Conference

Good morning all, just a quick little post before I head out to the press conference. We are going to have a little short media practice before they start asking us questions, I am pretty sure they will not ask me anything particular but you never know so I guess I need to be ready.

The dress code is very easy though, just some gear that the team gave us nothing to fancy.

Good evening world, I hope everyone is excited about Friday tomorrow. I know I am because Friday means no work at night, however I will not be doing anything crazy since we have a game both Saturday and Sunday.

Kind of exciting we just received two new team members, and both of them are living in the same apartment as us. I have still to learn their names, I am so bad at names so it will probably take awhile. They seem like really nice guys though, one is from Cameroon and the other from Romania. I have a feeling that they will pretty good at soccer, they used to play half pro or well real pro but they did not get paid super much so I do not see it as a real professional.

Also happy news, I just went to the store and bought myself some head ache and fever pills. You can say and believe whatever you want about science but those kind of pills is something they have done well. I am ready for some real good sleep right now, than wake up for some lifting tomorrow, hey oh!

Exploding Lungs

Good morning world, I just got back to the apartment from our conditioning work out this morning. I have to say I thought I was going to puke my brains out, as I am still feeling a little bit sick with head ache and a sour throat I was not in the best shape for running. Lucky for me it was only about a 10 minute work out, still crazy hard and intense but a couple of more minutes and I would have puked.

We ran 200 meters, than did 50 side to side jumps over a hurdle and then 10 box jumps, 200 meters and than 40 hurdle jumps and 20 box jumps, and that was a continues calculation until we did 10 hurdle jumps and 50 box jumps. A great work out for whoever would like to work on their cardio!

Now I really need to get some sleep before our next practice today, nap time!!
